Immersed in music from his early childhood, Alnoor grew up listening to All India Radio. Surrounding him were great voices of Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh that slowly began to give birth to his passion for singing. With no classical training and no stage experience, he participated in National AVS Star-Search Competition in 1992 and won 1st runner-up. Soon after that he began his music career. After singing to audiences from coast to coast, Alnoor recorded his first album "Chanda", released on December 31st, 2004, which is a tribute to his childhood icon, Kishore Kumar. Alnoor redefines Kishoreda's singing style in his own modern context, while maintaining the classic touch implied by his trueness to the songs and their lyrics.
